Koala® EVM Green

Koala® EVM Green is the first wireless evaluation platform enabling development for Wi-Fi® WLAN, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth® and Bluetooth Low Energy with Bluetooth 4.1.


The Koala EVM Board is designed to cater for the IoT era. It provides a fast and cost effective way to commence embedded wireless development. The STMicroelectronics STM32F407/429 based EVM board provides good performance with a rich peripheral set. Designs resulting from this EVM will have minimal components and excellent cost performance. The user can select from Micrium μC/OS-III or Express Logic ThreadX real time operating systems. Wireless connectivity is enabled by Clarinox wireless modules based upon Texas Instruments WiLink 6 / 7 / 8 radios. Not only does the Koala EVM come with a powerful base processor and a flexible approach to wireless connectivity, but Clarinox have also built in numerous powerful features. The board boasts a Texas Instruments COM8 connector, and also LCD, Ethernet and camera interfaces. The Koala EVM board and wireless modules are designed to provide flexibility and convenience to the engineer charged with the task of developing the next generation of innovative wireless electronics.
